Michael's

I've only been to Michael's twice, both times were when I was in Virginia to visit my best friend. I brought a lot of money with me so I could stock up. I was excited to hear that a Michael's was opening up in the Bronx in 2010. Then my friend at work told me that one was already open in the Bronx, and a new one just opened up in Harlem. OK can you feel my glee.

The holiday's have to calm down, but come January, I think I'll be making a pilgrimage to the one in the Bronx with my daughter. I told her and she was so excited. There are/were no craft stores in the Bronx, and the only ones in Manhattan were 'Art' stores such as Pearl and Utrecht. They had craft stuff but it wasn't a mega-store.

Well I didn't make her costume after all. We improvised. She was/is a Vampire Witch. Here she is hallowing at the moon, although warewolfs do that, not vampires or witches, but what they hay!

Here she is in front of the school with her friend Arlie. Arlie was a fairy. Clarissa looks so creepy!!

Unfortunatley you cannot see her outfit, but not much to look at. It is my mothers old graduation gown. No alterations needed, it was pretty long. The green hat we got at a 99 cents store (along with the fangs), the makeup I got from the drug store.

Here she is with her best friends Chynna and Imani. Chynna was a belly dancer and Imani was an Aqua fairy. Of course with all the coats, you can't see anything.

They had fun at the party, they will go trick or treating on Saturday. In our neck of the woods, we have to trick or treat in the stores along the strip. No one goes door to door, it is too dangerous.

Swine Flu Outbreak At UBS?

Possibly, according to some of our favorite tax evaders in town, who were told not to come in for the day. Of course, they may be jumping to conclusions, and it could have nothing to do with a pig disease outbreak at all. It could very well be that UBS is shutting down. Or it could be herpes.

The incoming associate and analyst training for today was canceled. We do not have firm issued Blackberrys yet so they emailed us at our home address and told us not to come in. There have been a lot of people missing class due to health issues so this must be flu related. We have already had a bunch of people go to the hospital this week with the flu, and the room was full of coughing yesterday-- you could just tell there was something going around. Must be a swine outbreak.

It is my rule not to panic until CNN confirms stuff. As of yet, nothing from CNN. This was on dealbreaker.com

I mean, everyone around here is sick as a dog (except me) but if it is Swine, let me know, so I won't bring it home to my daughter.
